England qualified for the Euro 2024 semifinals after defeating Switzerland on penalties! The English won 5:3 on penalties. Otherwise, the two teams finished 1:1 in regular time. Thus, the overall score is 6:4 for England. Breel Embolo scored for the “Crusaders” in the 75th minute, but Bukayo Saka also scored just 5 minutes later. The match went into extra time, but no goals were scored there and it came down to penalty kicks, where the English showed more coolness and won.

In the 13th minute, Bukayo Saka managed to break through and find Declan Rice at the edge of the penalty area, who shot, but Fabian Schär blocked his shot.

Bukayo Saka tried to pass the ball to Harry Kane in the penalty area in the 28th minute, but Manuel Akanji blocked it.

Unfortunately, nothing interesting happened until the end of the half. The two teams continued to outmaneuver each other, moving the game to the center of the field. Neither the English nor the Swiss could create a serious situation that could lead to a possible goal.

The first shot on target in the match only came in the 51st minute. Breel Embolo received the ball and shot, but Jordan Pickford saved without problems.

In the 66th minute, Michel Aebischer shot from the air, but it was too inaccurate and Pickford didn’t need to intervene.

In the 75th minute, the “Crusaders” took the lead after a very nice and gradual attack. The goal was scored by Breel Embolo. Dan Ndoye crossed and John Stones couldn’t reach the ball to deflect it. Embolo took advantage of this and outran Kyle Walker to score!

Just 5 minutes later, the English reacted sharply and equalized through Bukayo Saka. The ball reached Saka, who cut inside and shot without hesitation, sending the ball into the net.

So the match ended 1:1 in regular time, which meant we would see penalties.

In the 95th minute, Declan Rice tried to beat Yann Sommer’s goal from a long distance. However, the goalkeeper was paying attention and a corner kick was awarded.

It got very interesting in front of the “Crusaders'” goal in the 102nd minute. Jude Bellingham had a chance to shoot twice at Sommer’s goal. The first shot was blocked, and on the second, the goalkeeper intervened and prevented a goal.

Jerdan Shaqiri tried something very interesting in the 117th minute. He took an unorthodox corner kick that could have turned directly into a goal. However, the ball rattled the goalpost and bounced out. No goals until the end, so it went to penalties, where the English prevailed and qualified for the Euro 2024 semifinals.
