Georgia took an early lead through a Robin Le Normand own goal in the 18th minute, but Spain equalized just 21 minutes later through Rodri.

Fabian Ruiz put the Spaniards in front in the 51st minute, and Nico Williams and Dani Olmo added goals in the 74th and 84th minutes to complete the 4-1 victory.

As expected, the Spaniards laid siege to the Georgian goal in the opening minutes, and in the 5th minute they had their first shot on target. Dani Carvajal crossed sharply from the right, and Pedri directed the ball towards goal, but Mamardashvili was alert and saved.

In the 11th minute, Dani Carvajal headed the ball dangerously after a corner, but Mamardashvili was again impeccable on his goal line.

Georgia took their chance in the 18th minute and punished the Spaniards with a lightning counterattack, initiated by Mikautadze, who passed to Kankava on the right wing, and the Georgian crossed sharply into the penalty area, where Le Normand sent the ball into his own net with his chest.

The Spaniards continued to be the more active team on the pitch, but this led to nothing more than a few shots from distance, which Mamardashvili again saved.

Five minutes before half-time, Spain managed to equalize. First Nico Williams shot dangerously, and Mamardashvili saved. However, the attack continued and seconds later the ball fell to Rodri, who struck a skillful shot from the edge of the penalty area and found the back of the Georgian net. There was some suspicion of offside for Alvaro Morata, who was in an offside position and in the path of the ball, but the referees decided that the Spain captain had no influence on the situation.

In the 49th minute, the Georgians missed an excellent chance to take the lead. Pedri lost the ball in front of Georgia’s penalty area, and Villi Saniol’s men again quickly broke the ball up to the center of the pitch, where Kvaratskhelia delivered a dangerous cross, but the ball went past the post.

Seconds after Kvaradona’s miss, Spain managed to take the lead. Lamine Yamal crossed superbly from the right flank and Fabian Ruiz left Mamardashvili helpless with a header.

In the 63rd minute, Georgia made a mistake in their defense and Lamine Yamal had a chance to shoot at Mamardashvili’s goal, but the ball went inches past the left post.

A quarter of an hour before the end, Spain scored their third goal. Fabian Ruiz made an incredible pass to Nico Williams from the arc in front of his own goal, and the young Spaniard took the ball well in the center of the pitch, advanced with it, feinted a Georgian player and pierced Mamardashvili for 3-1.

Seven minutes before the final whistle, Dani Olmo found the back of the Georgian net for the fourth time. He received the ball around the arc in front of the penalty area and with a perfect left-footed shot he made it 4-1.
