Turkey defeated the Czech Republic 2-1 in the final match of Group F at Euro 2024. All three goals came in the second half. Hakan Çalhanoğlu opened the scoring for Turkey in the 51st minute, while Tomáš Souček equalized for the Czechs in the 66th minute. Cenk Tosun scored the winner for Turkey in the 94th minute.
The Czechs finished last in the group and were eliminated from the competition. It is worth noting that the Czech team played with one less player from the 20th minute of the match, but still managed to score. Antonín Barák was sent off.
As early as the second minute, the Czechs threatened the Turkish goal. Antonín Barák fired a shot straight at Ünal Gündoğan, but the goalkeeper made the save.

Immediately after conceding a goal, Indřich Staněk had to receive medical attention. Matěj Kovař eventually came on in his place.
In the 66th minute, the Czechs managed to equalize, despite being down a man. The goal came from a corner. Tomáš Horie managed to get the better of the Turkish goalkeeper and Horie shot, but his shot was blocked. The ball thus fell to Tomáš Souček, who managed to equalize.
Cenk Tosun then brought Turkey the final victory, scoring for 2-1 in the 94th minute. The Czechs tried everything to score a goal and this played a cruel trick on them. They thinned out their defense, and Cenk Tosun took advantage of this and gave Kovař no chance, scoring a goal and sealing the victory for Turkey.
